i think i'd be fine if lemmy could just load consistently

so far at least there are no constant annoying automod filters like 'this title needs to be 250 characters not including spaces, have a [i'm a dumbass] flair, etc etc'

it does nothing to improve the quality of anything and makes the whole UX more annoying. on r/gonewildaudio there's like a paragraph of flairs

the internet clicks hit the same brain buttons as real life interaction does, even though it probably shouldn't

i love being able to see individual upvote and downvote counts. the nuance is actually very important

sports gamethreads would be very fun on here

I feel like that's partially intrinsic to the upvote system. one nice thing is having upvote and downvote count on here - you can see if people are still supporting your point instead of just a negative score

brilliant way to handle it. hopefully everyone shutting down gives out lemmy links

yeah, i don't understand why it'd be built like that? i guess it prevents overbearing mods, but the only true advantage seems like you can still call the backup "Gaming" instead of "TrueGaming" or whatever
