thank you!
Beside the fact that this community already exists, I think all of the ask-*
reddits are terrible contender for being replicated here.

That took a bit longer than expected, but the good news is that we survived the upgrade to 18.1, and managed to migrate the image storage to a (cheap knock-off) S3 bucked.
Any performance issues and disk space shortage will forever be a thing of the past! *knocks on wood*
The Lemmy upgrade itself went pretty smooth. Now it's just waiting for the update for pict-rs to finish, so that it can use S3 storage instead of local disk. Until then, no new posts.
Cheers, ~~both~~ all three of you. We're off to a beautiful federated future.
Congrats on reaching this set of sane rules. The efforts of creating an admin community behind the scenes are really starting to show off.
Request for clarification for uhmm, a friend of mine: When someone creates that own instance, with blackjack and hookers, and one of your users subscribes to a community there, it will synchronise part of that content to lemmynsfw. What will you do then?
I'd like to remind you that some beautiful maniacs can be quite reasonable ;)
Just deployed a new version that redirects v.redd.it and i.redd.it to their "comment page". One of the first posts the bot picked up was already a hit: https://lemmit.online/post/121926 So from now on they should have the proper link inside. Cheers, have a nice weekend!
Yeah, I've upped the limit on this server, so it should come through now if you retry.
Ah, right. That's because the link of the post itself is set to v.reddit.com (edit: meaning it presents itself like an External link in the RSS feed, rather than a reddit post) - Maybe I can create an exclusion to use the comment link for those posts instead.
In the mean time, you could get around to it by clicking on the /r/blablabla
link in the footer text.
Could you give an example post of what you mean? Every Post starts with "The original was posted on /r/blabla
", in which the latter links to the original, old.reddit.com link, will that work for you?
I'm not sure what you mean, do you have a link and/or screenshot? If it only happens in a specific client, it's probably an issue with that client.
