How? Matrix private rooms are e2e-encrypted by default.

Interesting fact about Matrix.org (a protocol mostly focused on decentralized instant messaging while ActivityPub is more for social networks):

"One thing I love about @matrix is how independent of a server a room can be. It requires at least one server for now, but it’s easier to see it as a “a room in the Matrix universe”. It has one main door, but can have many other doors, all leading to the same room. Each door lives on one server, but the room lives on several servers at once."

If it comes to resilience, shouldn't those who manage an instance worry about having a backup to upload to another provider's server by changing the DNS record in case there are problems?

If so it is not a Fediverse problem but a problem of some administrators who naively do not follow good practices in general.

Are you not aware of The Lancet-hydroxychloroquine scandal?

I'm aware some are boycotting it.

Reply to this: do you have the courage to join groups with thousand of doctors and say to them they are fake and not treating anyone?

Man, I'm not pretending this is the truth, I'm just saying mine are legitimate ideas and I have the right to express them. This is censorship, period.

Debunked? Here in Italy we have thousand of doctors that does what I said to treat Sars-Cov2.

Do you have the courage to write to these groups and associations "you are fake and you are not treating anyone"?

I just read the deleted messages by the others and the reasons are ridiculous. The mods clearly impose their very personal opinion even on harmless issues.

Now I understand why Lemmy is so unpopular despite being well developed. It's basically the moderators' attempt to build their own happy island where they can only talk to like-minded people.

The advantage is that at least the main instance will not end up being the most numerous one. Soon many free instances will be opened and decentralization will be effective.

"conspiracy" is clearly a misunderstanding by the mod but he won't admit it. The reason of moderation must be objective. Here instead there is a (bad) assumption by the mod. "Bad" because as I said I refuse both "anti-vax" and "conspiracy theory" labels.

Also I find "conspiracy nerd" to be offensive and I think his intention was that.

How does one formally ask for his comments to be restored in cases like this?

In case you already use Nextcloud you can generate a link to share any file and for images you get a preview like this:

https://cloud.disroot.org/s/g9YZCmayM8g7NBa

And from there you can copy the address of the image and embed it like you would with Imgur.

Yes the title is an over-simplification but the original title was too technical for general audience.

Basically the article want to provide an analysis of the possible scenarios removing the assumpion that the immunity induced by the vaccine is the same of one induced by infections and the result is social distancing may be counterproductive.

The point is, one shouldn't argue for keeping social distancing or even lockdowns once vaccines are available for better securiry because it can be counterproductive.
