Well but you need to understand, it had "AI" in the name, and everything is made awesome with AI, so they had to go with it...

How soon until unless you own a couple of these you'll be branded a terrorist Antifa supporting illegal criminal?

Wow, that's surely going to both get the price of eggs down AND stop the genocide of Palestinians! How does he do it?

I mean, cream pie or spit roast would be obvious candidates...

Pretty on point for tech bros then - they keep "inventing" shit that already exists, but for some reason now requires an app, ~~blockchain~~ AI, or both (sorry, used an older buzzword first, but that one is already out of fashion).

Just wait, I'm sure soon a wild techbro will appear with a great solution to this problem that will require you to install an app and surrender all your data and biometrics in order to open those cases yourself to get a damn toothbrush or some shaving cream...

Problem is, unless you're rich and powerful crimes tend to have consequences - they only "just let you do it" when your account balance already has a certain number of digits...

Wow, if they reduce egg prices any more through all those cuts they'll have to start giving them out for free!

Right, which is why music used to be an extremely niche and virtually unknown hobby, and we had almost no songs until he came up with his brilliant invention...

Fucking hell, there's removed from reality, and then there's this.

I'll need to properly ID them later since they only have tags with their Japanese names, but I'm reasonably sure the top row from the left is a Leuchtenbergia, an Obregonia and a Crassula, and the bottom row is some kind of Gymnocalycium, a Haworthia, Blosfeldia liliputiana and another Haworthia.

Really cute, and they were really cheap to boot! Here's the other one:

Edit: I found the culprit! It is an app I've been using for years called "Notification Toggle" that has sadly been abandoned, and that seems to have a bug on Android 14 where it's icon will be stuck at 1 instead of showing the current date. I completely forgot it even had this function, because it was a default on all my phones for a looooooing time without me ever opening it or fiddling with the settings. Sad to see it abandoned, with no hope of getting this bug fixed, but what can I do...

I switched phones recently, and am very satisfied with my Xperia, but there's this one useless icon in the taskbar that annoys me a bit and that is like to hide, but I can't identify it, could someone help?

I tried SystemUI tuner, but it doesn't list it as one you can blacklist in the list of toggles, and I don't know how to find it's key to add it as a custom one. Tried turning off calendar notifications, but that's not it - it still shows. Does anyone know what it is and how to hide it? It's a minor annoyance to be sure, but it's completely useless, and I'd like it gone if possible. Thanks in advance for any help!

The one on the left, with beautiful curved spines, is Gymnocalycium saglionis, and the other one, with white hair around spines is Pyrrhocactus floccosus, a pretty rare one (at least in Japan). Hope they like their new home!

They were all so purdy that I couldn't help myself. Surprisingly affordable too, even the bigger ones, which is always nice.

I posted about my grafted bois before here (I wish there was a way to share instance-agnostic links, maybe some day...), but I have an update - one of them decided recently that having another cactus forcibly implanted on top of it is not nearly enough, and he started sprouting all over the place! What a little overachiever, eh?

The first pic is unedited, and here's the version I played with a bit, what do you think, is it too much?

Here's a few more, should be clear by looking at them, but unedited version first, edited one after:

I think I might have gone overboard with the Aztekiums (first pic), but other ones look kinda nice to me. Still a lot to learn though, one day I might be able to show how pretty these are in real life!

The one with dark, shiny leaves is Alocasia Cuprea, and the one with pretty stems is Alocasia Zebrina. I do hope they like their new home - had a bit of mixed luck with Alocasias in the past...

New flowers keep opening almost every hour - glad at least these bois seem to be loving the scorching Tokyo weather, because I sure as hell am not :)

Aaaaaanyway, here's more:
