The fare enforcement was of course a huge overreach and waste of resources, spending something absurd like 1000x what it recovered. The cops didn't shoot people over a fare, they shot because someone pulled a knife on them, after trying to use a Taser which failed. Not really sure what else people expect will result if someone pulls a knife on someone with a gun, cop or not.

Log out of social media, go outside, interact with real people. Life is not remotely as bad as all that, it just seems that way because social media has told you to be scared. Humans are extremely adaptable, we will overcome whatever the problems are.

I guess we just disagree on what doxxing is. When done correctly it's just someone's specific address or other info being posted publicly, it doesn't have to be associated with a call to violence it's more likely that people just stand outside his house with signs. It's also not targeted at a whole neighborhood. I can see why you're concerned that MAGA types won't be as careful with it, but they can be charged with crimes if they take it too far just like anyone else. Simply knowing where someone lives isn't a crime.

Linux users who haven't had a driver issue have simply gotten lucky but they confuse this result with technical skill. Sometimes your hardware works fine, sometimes it isn't supported. Unless you're writing the drivers yourself you didn't fix the problem you merely avoided it by happenstance.
