Those numbers under Karma are how many up votes they've received on their posts and comments, respectively, not how many posts they've made.

Yup, this is why you should always sign up using a credit card, never your debit card or bank. You can issue a chargeback online pretty easily with most credit card companies these days, it won't affect your credit, and the money never leaves your bank account.

They're ok with an entire subset of American kids being oppressed because "overall not that many people will be impacted." What a fucked up take. These shitheads have zero empathy until something affects them directly.

That's a very privileged take.

Or buy whatever the fuck you want, because why not make one part of your miserable life slightly more pleasurable by driving something that makes you smile. In the US, 99% of us need a vehicle to commute because we don't have access to decent public transportation, so why not drive something you enjoy? Do I need a 500hp Mustang to get me to work and back? Hell no, but it sure does turn that commute into a few precious moments of happiness before I start the 9-5 grind.

Good coffee shops are becoming more common over there, but still a long way from the US, France, Italy, etc, where there's two cafes on every corner.

What part of buying a textbook for $250 then selling it back in like-new condition to the same retailer for $20 three months later is bad for the consumer?

It's really not. Run it in Docker on your home PC. You don't need to moderate any users because you don't need to have any users on your instance. It quite literally is "just set it up once," defederate instances you don't like, and occasionally upgrade the software like you do any other app.

That being said, a few Lemmy apps now support blocking entire instances, so that IS more simple than it was even a few weeks ago.

I'm a "best tool for the job" kinda person, and since only a few of the games I play work on Linux, my gaming PC will stay on Win10 til I'm forced to upgrade. We can all pretend that Linux comes anywhere close to the ease of use and compatibility of Windows or OS X, but it doesn't. I wouldn't be caught dead using anything Microsoft in a production capacity, or using Linux or OS X for gaming. Linux support for games has come a really long way, but I'm not going to hamstring myself just on principle, especially one as ridiculous as OS loyalty.

Druids have officially had access to Revivify for a while now in 5E as part of optional class features.

Typically, yes. In the US at least, cinder block houses are common particularly in Florida and coastal regions. The inside would still likely have a moisture barrier and insulation on modern homes, so you will typically have wood framing for interior walls to allow for wiring, plumbing, and insulation that is then drywalled over.
