Do you receive enough to make a living improving voyager?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Cool, thank you for the list

I have a little group of friends to comment with the latest chapter every time

After leaving reddit that’s how replaced the experience. Don’t really need fanart or cosplay, so it’s working even kinda better than reddit

For the “chapter is out” part, the one who sees the chapter firsts is the one who posts the link in the group and we fine

Open source (nor foss) doesn't really assure protection from the capital and/or consumerism...

On the other hand, making an ambitious game takes money and markets rarely pay for fully open projects

yep, hence why imo is better to not be fully open from day 0. The free software movement reached his peak, now it's time to evolve into something better. A software made by squeezing the open libraries and then the devs and then the consumers to then have most of the earnings kept in the company bank to get numbers going up for the capital is totally doable even while having the most free license.

As you say tho, it can help with accessibility and longevity.

I just would like to not see ''solarpunk99'' in some years made in the worst possible way. I'd rather have toxic games but made in a solarpunk way than ''solarpunk'' games made by the capital to sell us another commodified idea

idk if ''should'' but if they do would be nice

hardware shouldn't become ''old'' in the first place, putting the heavy weight on the game devs solely seems unlikely to bring change

software libraries, frameworks, game engines, operating systems, recycling hardware... It's a lot before arriving to the people that wanna focus on the game

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 week ago (5 children)

I think we should write more about solarpunk itself so I’m glad for your post, thank you

Said that, I would have added at least one disclaimer about solarpunk games intended as games produced in a more solarpunk way: stuff like no DRM, avoiding dark patterns, being a cooperative or being owned by a foundation and much more.

Let me underline the “just a disclaimer”, I know you wanted to focus on the content and what I said would need basically another full post

Again, love your initiative and I hope more people will follow you 🙏

Try to be informed about the stuff you can have an impact on

For example on my rss feed I just wiped out most of the non EU stuff. It’s ok to know that there are wildfires somewhere in the world but being overexposed is really just toxic

I can organize here in Italy, not even the whole of it but my region and the cities I spend time in. It’s much better to know what my little city council is discussing about rather than any even major event but so far from me.

Unluckily, social media doesn’t help too much with curating the feeds but as others said try to work more on mutes and filters. Don’t forget that getting informed is just one tool for change, do not get too high on it :)

Edit and P.S. : it’s also much easier that on social networks driven by engagement algorithms the posts that travel the most are the ones that cause hate/rage and sex or generally emotions easier to exploit online. Newspapers themselves tend to post more negative stuff. It’s just a human bias, take it into account and watch around yourself to find the positive stuff of life

Just avoid following climate and collapse x)

I myself do not follow them lol

Does your revenue service have a way of monitoring this or would they have to verify each case manually?

Alright, you keep not reading the article (it clearly says that every transaction has to emit both a fattura and a scontrino). And it's not "my"(nor "ours", i'm not involved) service.

This happening in Sicily

The fact that you confuse Sardegna with Sicilia shows even more that you think you know more than you actually do.

To be clear, I don't think that's it's safe from every abuse but as i said for the businesses here it's much easier to just use cash rather than trying to use digital money.

Sorry but really you are making this conversation less a conversation and more a ''i am right and you have to show me i'm wrong''; hence i'll stop answering.

Has anyone ever found to be not compliant?

It is very stupid to use a centralized digital coin to avoid taxes while you can just avoid declaring what you earned when you get cash instead of digital payments

Are they checking for sanctions?

I'm not sure what this means

Who in this financial setup is legally required and accountable for making sure they are paying taxes?

In your country companies are legally required and accountable for making sure their user are paying taxes? Here they are required traceability and stuff but it's not their job to do the guardia di finanza job.

Btw if you'd actually read the article there is a part that talks how they make everything traceable and that they also talked with the ''agenzia delle entrate'' that is the italian tax agency themselves.

Honestly i think you are just trying to confirm your biases about italy lol; this stuff has been already regulamentated for years (circuito di credito commerciale) and the only difference that sardex has with other commercial circuits is the fact that they are a fintech and it's actually expanding thanks to the digital capabilities

If you wanna avoid taxes it is much easier to just rely on cash.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago (5 children)

Maybe you weren’t born yesterday but you also haven’t skimmed the whole article that also talks about taxes :)

The problem that it solves is not letting the control of who to help and who not in the hands of the banks. Like any good community currency it gives the possibility to make some debt without issues, thanks to the community trust among members

It’s not that easy to have money from the bank without warranties here. They are not gonna lend money thinking “oh yes it’s even better if you cannot guarantee anything so we can make you homeless” because here in Italy they cannot do infinite shit lol (sorry for the phrasing I could write this better prob)

I was gonna answer myself but I found a link for you https://valori.it/credito-10-anni-sardex-scommessa-vinta/

Btw the “mafia” thing sounds like something that someone who knows nothing about Italy would say. Most of all because thanks to the real struggle with mafia in the past we now have a lot of instruments to keep restrain them. Most of the submerged economy is made by regular companies and professionals that here and there avoid declaring their real earnings.

Hi! Is there anything like hackingwithswift (preferably as 100 days of SwiftUI) but focused on elixir and phoenix?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Thank you for taking your time to answer for me!

From mastodon to follow an account or a community on lemmy you use the @name@server format and there is no difference between a community name and a user-name

so i was wondering if anyone tried and checked what happened

Hi! Another question about lemmy development.

Is lemmy working towards functioning more with discourse, flarum and nodebb federations?

I think that mastodon kinda fucked the fediverse and having a costellation of linked forums is much more powerful than microblogging so i'm interested in using lemmy as a forum more than a simple link aggregator

Hi!

In the Apollo app (basically the reason i started using reddit and the reason i also left reddit lol) there was a very useful feature: friends.

It was not a mutual friendlist like facebook, and not even much of a follow like twitter; it was more a ''favorite users'' list.

Basically I added in there people that always commented stuff I was interested in and this helped me find new communities and interesting post without relying on other discovery ways. Seen the decentralized nature of lemmy, i think it could be even more useful than on reddit.
