What about the absolute worst? The tech-tankies? :D (joking, I dont think any of these short circuit words help, except those who want to derail discussions)

I was thinking about doing a post like this. :D

[–] [email protected] 20 points 4 days ago

Happened to me more often than I can count. Always the same outcome: I work my normal speed, work gets done insanely fast, employers denies raise and points at me doing thigs for free, I stop working as far as I can legally get away with, employer needs to hire more people for the job I did before, I sabotage as much as I can, then leave.

In very rare occasions I got a little bit of extra money out of it but mostly i just learned a lot and switched jobs. went self employed later and did away with that shit.

but the system is a pile of shit, no matter your skills.

It is actually how the system works, just on steroids. Capitalism has the innate tendency for monopolization. At the end, the whole world will belong to one person and that person will rule everything. its just totalitarianism with extra steps.

Thats the system. Its designed like that. There are books depicting this stuff from 100 years ago.

You're delusional.

First you outright lie about him having seriously injured people with a knife, now you try to spin this.

German police is infamous for its nazi chat groups and racial profiling. They cuffed and set a guy on fire. Nobody knows how he died but four bullets to the back is an execution in my book, period.

And most importantly, even if you were interested in just having nobody use words that arent the exact definition in the dictionary, that is the thing now. Picturing immigrants as vile, subhuman creatures, spinning facts in ways that have no connection to actual reality. And we're discussing if shooting someone who is no threat to you four times in the back is an execution or not.

This discussion is over.

None. Thats my point. Cops shooting people in the back does not need a story. Its just murder. Even if that person were in the process (which he wasnt) of attacking someone else, shooting them in the back is likely going to injure the person you're trying to save.

My point is start thinking instead of just believing a headline. Its not that hard.

Edit: and just so you know, you're spreading misinformation. nobody was hurt by the knife. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Todesfall_Lorenz_A. that is racist propaganda.

Holy shit. I didnt know it was that dire but I have to admit I am not that surprised either. Please stay safe if you're in that country.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 week ago

Thank you for coming to my aid. That person really has it out for me it seems.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 week ago

You're absolutely right. The person is trying to character assassinate me. They're either really misunderstanding what I'm talking about or deliberately trying to smear me.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago

Of course you didnt because I said this in a sarcastic comment somewhere. As in, capitalism needs fascism as its whip.

The former billionaire, who inherited a coal mining business from his father, presides over a state where 29% of residents are on Medicaid

When Senator Jim Justice of West Virginia was asked about the Senate Republicans' newly released portion of the proposed spending bill that requires parents of children older than 14 to work for Medicaid, he said, "biblically, we are supposed to work."

I think 90% chance of apple going for the EU-Specific model just like they did for Digital markets act, 10 chance of screws, 0% chance of actually popping the back cover off with bare hands.

For Samsung, 50% chance EU-Specific models 40% chance screws, 10% chance back cover tool-less removal. (Edit: typo)

As for other smaller manufacturers, probably just 50%/50% either screws or tool-less back cover removal.

Napster, the brand synonymous with the music piracy boom of the early 2000s, has a new copyright challenge. Together with audio giant Sonos, Napster faces a lawsuit demanding over $3.4 million in alleged unpaid copyright royalties. Filed by SoundExchange, the complaint centers on missed payments related to the "Sonos Radio" service, which until 2023 was powered by Napster's music catalog.
