DE are also probably one of the most underrated developers.

Community has always held their high regard, and with over 10y of development that means a lot.

This is not just an opinion btw, there is a clear link between censorship and effectiveness. Essentially, the more you make topics or content off-limits, the worse it gets at it's normal tasks too.

This has been studied quite a bit and there's evidence for it.

This should work with deepseeker-r1 as well right? I assume that's gotta be a bit better even.

Alright no hate on Bernie tho, that dude is a role model through and through.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 days ago

You're screwed dude

Harsh, but from what I see I agree, fixing it might be harder than redoing it, and covering it up if it looks good is the easiest solution you have

Probably alright then.

I personally believe if everyone involved is fine with it, then that's ok.

But of course that can change, I guess be aware of that?

Yeah TL;DR you're good I think.

Does their spouse know? How do they feel about it?

Really good video, I appreciate this guy a lot.

As a software dev, this guy knows what he's talking about and he always breaks it down in the best fashion.

Asterisk on that - I consider black forest's image generation models to be leading, and their pro variants are commercial only.

That said everything else has leading models that are all open source I think, except for ChatGPT which is becoming obsolete right now.

This news cycle is one hell of a nothing burger.

It's models are literally open source.

People have this fear of trusting the Chinese government, and I get it, but that doesn't make all of china bad. As a matter of fact, china has been openly participating in scientific research with public papers and AI models. They might have helped ChatGPT get to where it's at.

Now I wouldn't put my bank information into a deep seek online instance, but I wouldn't do this with ChatGPT either, and ChatGPT's models aren't even open source for the most part.

I have more reasons to trust deep seek as opposed to chatgpt.

This.

Discovery and user abstraction are Lemmy's biggest issues and we are not addressing them to the degree we should.

I know there's some stuff on all those centralized platforms that's way over the top, but most of it is actually pretty helpful. And you'll miss it once you switch here.

This is a genuine question.

I have a hard time with this. My righteous side wants him to face an appropriate sentence, but my pessimistic side thinks this might have set a great example for CEOs to always maintain a level of humanity or face unforseen consequences.

P.S. this topic is highly controversial and I want actual opinions so let's be civil.

And if you're a mod, delete this if the post is inappropriate or if it gets too heated.

It's very late but I'm hungry and can't decide if I should eat something. I wanna make tortellini but I also feel like sleeping sounds more healthy.

I have an appointment tomorrow and I talked with friends until after midnight. Maybe I should just go to bed.

I just had an ad appear while scrolling through the comment section of a post.

No big deal in itself, but: the ad started to play at volume even though I put my media viewer in auto mute. It's night and I don't wanna wake people up with videos I never even wanted to see and even tho I didn't click anything wrong.

Is this how it should be? Is there an option to disable audio on ads? I have auto mute on enabled for my media viewer; why does this not automatically apply to ads as well?

I get that this app has ads to survive but there's always a nice and a really annoying way to do it and this is definitely on the annoying side for me rn.

I switched to Windows 11 about a year ago. A few months ago my PC started randomly crashing and rebooting, without any blue screens.

Am I the only one? Does someone know anything about this?

Pretty sure I can rule out power surges or overheating or stuff like that. There's been no indication. The system log is empty as well, apart from Windows being annoyed that it just got restarted without any notice.

For me in the top of the image, there should be download button and stuff.

The top is white and the symbols are white. There's no gradient. I literally can't see it.

I know this is dumb but I think it's also an easy fix as the bottom already has a gradient.
