I have this on my to-play list, in fact it is loaded up on my Steam Deck, but I have been having issues with Sega Saturn games and keep telling myself I will look at that at some point ๐
Love a good mech shooter!

Ahhh, I must be confusing things then. I knew some racers came out for the GBA very early on and an early GBA magazine I bought as a kid had Mario Kart as the prominent feature!
For the first handheld entry in the Mario Kart franchise, this game was amazing. It was also the first one to start introducing retro tracks/cups.
It was also a launch title for the GBA, if I remember correctly.
It is probably a little rough around the edges by modern standards, but I remember chucking hours into this.
Oh, it also introduced the rating system for performance in a cup. To this day, I have only managed one triple star in 50cc Mushroom Cup ๐คฃ
It is on the list to revisit, but I am currently playing Mario Kart DS.
I mean, I played many import games in my childhood, so the fact I played this back in the day in the UK means very little about its availability in Europe ๐
I remember a friend having this game, and we played it a few times, we had absolutely no idea what the hell was going on.
Besides Doom on the SNES, I had never really played any FPS games until Goldeneye on the N64, so navigating was always a challenge, and I think the HUD just confused me.
I think I need to revisit this at some point, as it seems really interesting.
I'll get some footage to demonstrate it because it is hilarious.
Also, it makes Boss Rush super easy when you can just skip certain annoying bosses, allowing you to get the Rocket Propelled Grenade easily. The RPG isn't as good as it sounds sadly... But this is Castlevania, not Devil May Cry
This is one of my favourite Castlevania games to break. There are a bunch of pretty easy sequence breaks.
Using a knife style weapon that has the backstab special attack can activate switches behind walls/doors, allowing you to skip chunks of the map.
There is also the combination of using the succubus soul and the previously mentioned exploit to just straight-up glitch through walls ๐
Ignoring those names for a second...
The DS was the perfect device to have an array of tools, like dictionaries developed for it. I had an electronic dictionary when I was abroad, and it was just an amazing device that cost me a small fortune...
I still have it somewhere, but today, I tend to go to Jisho.org whenever I need to translate the odd word
I am very out of practice with my Japanese. Though I recently found my Dictionary of Basic Japanese Grammar, which is a fantastic but chunky, yellow book that really helped me during my university course.
That being said, grammar was never my problem. Vocabulary was always the hardest thing for me.
I feel like I am being threatened with a good time...
I'll have to have a bit of a fish around. See if i can find a translation patch. Sadly, DS games are a pain in the butt for emulation, mostly because of that damn Dual Screen thing.
I know it calls it bad.
But that bomb disposal squad game looks like prime meme material.
I'd be down for trying that ๐

Can confirm that this game is a great FPS game for the GBA!
The fact it is also a completely new Duke game and not a port of Duke3D is also really cool!
