I love VR, I get some of his misgivings about VR for the cost and space requirements, I barely play flat games anymore. My system cost $699.99 cdn when I got it years ago, Vive - 2 base stations - 2 controllers and I only got it because of a nice tax return, and have loved it since usually playing on average about 14 hrs a week.

Now to the VR only releases... STOP IT! Release on both if you want to release a VR title, people are not going to drop this coin for 1 or 2 games they want to play, they will grumble and move your company to the garbage pile.

At least there is a HLA NoVR community that unVR'd hla, maybe they will hit this as well as Metro Awakening. Again I love VR and it is the only way I can play any game with full concentration for an hour or 2 these days, but for the love of god when you finalize a game do it for both flat and VR. If nothing else, think of how many more units you would sell!!!

I'm using the "official" Nvidia driver and Kubuntu, due to VR, and have not had any issues with video. Still wish I'd gone AMD though

This is an issue for me. I have a G13 and cannot find drivers to get it to work, I'm talking to program the buttons so they do something as right now it does nothing but display G13 on the screen. Of the 2 options I have found/been told about g13d and g13gui neither will compile to work on my system

Reading is hard

The latest vids from my subs always show up on my main feed, I sub to give the creator a number boost, let yt know to put these on my feed, and even with notifications off I will see their latest vid near the top of my feed within a short time of release, sometimes I get the vid posted less than 5 mins before I get back.

Never reflect on how long ago something was, it is almost always a slap in the face ;)

Yeah, make sure you get steam from the steam site not flat pack and if you use Nvidia, use the official Nvidia driver, also make sure you select compatibility in steam. Sometimes you need a different Proton version. Turn settings down and the fps will normalize.
