@[email protected] That's the issue... 8DX feels too "clean". The older games felt a bit more rough and frantic, like you're actually trying to keep a dodgy little kart under control.
But I mainly like Wii because of the inline bikes zipping about all over the track. Lots of fun.
@[email protected] This was my first Mario Kart, so I am contractually obliged to love it to bits (even if I'm no good at it). Takes second place in my MK list, just below Wii.
@[email protected] Fun fact: Ridge Racer 4 comes with a bonus disc containing a slightly improved copy of the original! There are probably a few bugfixes, but the main selling point is that it runs at 60fps.
@[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] Yeah dude. I should also mention it's in three parts (plus some bonus addenda) so if you think something's missing, it might not be!
@Dennis5891 @OutofPrintArchive I apologise for the somewhat shameless pluggery, and you're very welcome to tell me to pound sand. HOWEVER: you may well get a kick out of this mini-documentary series I made about pinball video games. https://youtu.be/BfcQwuH9FSY

@[email protected] I've been trying to solve this issue myself for a while, and the conclusion I came to last time was that for every positive feature in a given application, there were at least two important parts missing.
(Spoilers, I ended up with Joplin even though I'm not super thrilled about it, but I just wanted a solution dangit)
