Investors will pump 109 billion euros into artificial intelligence (AI) projects in France in the coming years,

It will be private investment, venture capitalists, that provide the money and extract the data and wealth. All Macron is doing is giving it the official seal of approval from the government. He might relax some rules and make it easier to invest but your tax Euros are safe.

Suspends disbelief to accept magical space wizards that can mind rape you if you're not careful enough.

Why would your King's best friend be charged with anything? The only thing he's going to get charged with is how to funnel your public money into his bank account.

Thank you so much. I'll give it a go manually like you say and then dive into scripting.

Timeshift! That's what I was thinking of. Thanks.

What's your bash script do for dot files? Is it complicated? Would it be something a novice scripter like me put together?

I don't agree that we should change the rules. However what she's suggesting would be to put us in line (albeit towards the long end) of some other European countries. Off the top of my head I think Spain, Germany, Italy, Austria, Greece, Denmark all have equally long timeframes. And I imagine she's pitched this like that to quickly deflect any arguments away about the UK being unfair.

I still think it's the wrong the to do and don't actually believe anything will change here. The Home Office is one of the most incompetent departments so I'd be surprised if they could even process existing applications within ten years let alone extend the waiting period to apply to ten years.

I think I am reading this wrong. Late night drinking...

I think it's Labour travelling to Germany to see how best to deal with far right groups such as AfD in order to defeat them. As opposed to Labour travelling to Germany to try and learn lessons from AfD on how to appeal to right wingers and win seats.

While Labour MPs discuss tactics to counter the threat of Reform, some are seeking lessons on combatting rightwing populists from outside the UK.

A small group is planning a trip to Germany in the coming weeks to find out what they can learn from the rise of the far-right Alternative für Deutschland (AfD), which is expected to perform well in the country’s election later this month.

Wut.....? Am I reading that correctly?

Absolute scum, take away their benefits the lot of them.

Ita a measure of priorities that the council can't pay it's staff properly to organise the streets to be swept or rubbish to be collected but can hoard millions of pounds worth of art.
