all the instances suffer from influx of new users and others don't federate because of trolls... Bad decision i think

As far as i understood, it's a structural problem : there is only 4 admin/moderators and they want to manage/moderate all maintream communities That's impossible to do, and defederate to lemmy.world send a very bad signal
i wrote an open-source software and i know how difficult it is to develop something for open-source ( no money, people complaining...) If you are short in money like me, Give encouragement is the minimum users can do
flatpack convert a well-design operating system linux to a sub-optimized system like our favorite microsoft window 😂
very usefull app : for me, it's a game changer for lemmy popularity
totally agree : federation makes sense only if you can import/export your preferences to another instance
For me, a real chat application run in the background and gives you message at any time. I don't know if delta-chat run in the background but it seems a weird solution. But if you are happy with it, why not. ( For info, app xmpp 'conversation' running in the background is only 10M RAM)
community should promote federate chat solution like xmpp or matrix. Everything dealing with your privacy should be federated.
A weird chat solution. The community should promote well-established chat solutions like irc, xmpp, and probably matrix in the future
thanks to jerboa, i can easily join and switch to multiple instances. And as it works with mastodon, everybody must find the right instance for himself at the end. No desire to quit definitively beehaw at this point : i hope it's only temporary
