It's not only this, it's also about making Nautilus better maintainable by moving this code to an extension. Ubuntu is using this extensions.
There is a nice extension for online searches: https://www.omglinux.com/search-web-gnome-shell-extension/ which opens then the results in the default browser.
This was in planet.gnome.org. I tend to put them here
This especially cool as it will enable applications like Geary to be ported to adwaita.
I personally also agree on making the side bar more flexible. I find it annoying, that it is not possible to not remove folders like music which I don't use at all. So I'm only able to add new folders, which makes it more overloaded.
you mean the one of adwaita 1.4? No, this application is not yet migrated to adwaita due to dependencies (afaik)
I don't know, but maybe they though Super+Shift+Page Up/Down is enough? Didn't know it exists…
I think it will only work with Nautilus if the text you want to remove is always the same. Mark the files to be renamed --> F2 --> select "search and replace" --> enter the text which should be removed in the existing text entry box.
Very cool. Great news!
Maybe it's worth trying to add those paths with Flatseal?
Not what you wanted, but maybe for sake of completeness: https://itsfoss.com/convert-video-gif-linux/
