Using the "native" web UI, I get the same output from lemmy.ca and lemmy.world. It's not an embedded player, but you do seem to get a preview of the YT video. I do realize that you are probably asking about an IOS / Android app, but I assume that this is up to the app developer. Kind of like for Reddit, some apps would preview more image/GIF boards.

I started watching on NBC (we can watch it with antennas), but only had some matches. The pre-match and after-match banter was good enough. That is one thing that I miss with Fubo/DAZN, there rarely is some commenting before/after/mid. Tried watching with some YT fan channels at the same time, it's just a pain to keep in 'sync'. I do get a digital copy from "friendly sailors" of Match Of The Day 1/2 that I find useful to gain a bit more info on the weekend's matches.
I was debating about writing the price, don't want to push an open wound, it's about 60$CAN for 3 months here for Fubo/DAZN . I think it's a good deal. (legal too..). It does buffer at the worst times (and my Internet connection is NOT the issue...)
During the season, how do you watch games? Do you watch at home, in a group or at a pub type establishment with other fans?
I am a fan from Canada, so I have been watching at home using DAZN, then Fubo.TV last year (officially licensed), but I will try to visit a pub with fans next season. For Canada, The official Manchester United supporters club of Canada was pointed out to me.

Le nombre de communautés ajoutées en quelques jours sur les Lemmy que je suis inscrits, et les autres que j'ai vu est sérieusement impressionnant. Certains ont du contenu, d'autres moins. Les discussions sont plus intéressantes que les dernières années sur Reddit. (Dans ce que je suivais). Je pense a partir un VPS pour une instance de Lemmy perso. Objectif de pas perdre tout si une instance que j'utilise disparais... Pas de Rush. Je me demande si des scrapers vont être fait pour bouger des postes intéressants, genre la communauté Reddit archive. Difficile a voir comment décider quoi copier.
