  1. At school lots of students use Discord. So I just use Discord along with them. I don't give Discord phone number and I expect all metadata, DMs, and server messages to be publicly available.

  2. I don't use a banking app, even though it does work on my phone (graphene)

  3. I don't use taxi/transport app so I actually haven't come across this yet. I guess I could try calling an old fashioned taxi.

  4. Man, this is a toughie. I've tried Osmand, Organic Maps, and Magic Earth. None of them work flawlessly. Recently I've succumbed to using Waze with no account.

  5. I don't, I kinda just try to be as healthy as possible. Although, if I had to, I would look into Garmin watches. I'm not sure about privacy but it seems they're one of the few that don't require a subscription.

  6. Graphene is the best choice for privacy and security. You could try out Linux phones but it's very developmental. Calyx is an option but it's not security focused.

I've had a good experience with a chiropractor I've been to. Did some "adjustments" and gave me some exercises to work out my muscle problems where I've been feeling pain in my neck and shoulders. Did those exercises everyday and they definitely helped out. I haven't been back in like a year or two with no plans of coming back.

Been thinking of getting my first nice knife. I currently rock the Ontario Rat 1, really it because it's a nice beater and has a serrated side. I don't think nice tanto knives have serrated side but I'm willing to compromise since they look so nice.

Just bought the GWM 5610U-1C. It was a tough decision choosing between the DW5600 and this, ended up choosing this because the atomic time keeping is cool.

However, I'm a tad annoyed that the time doesn't perfectly match with time.gov and time.is since the atomic sync doesn't account for time propagation, so there's like a fraction of a second delay that's noticeable. Other than that, the watch is fantastic and has most features I would want. (I wish it had barometer and altimeter stuff, maybe even compass, and dive rated so I can press buttons underwater)

I come across some caches that I haven't been able to find that indicate requires TOTT. What exactly are TOTT and do you need them? The only ones I've done are the birdhouses one where I use a long paint roller so that's obviously necessary. I did a nano size one that said it requires TOTT but it was a small ass magnet sized thing and I just found it using my eyes.

TLDR; What are TOTTs and do I need to buy TOTTs to do caches?

I am planning on buying a jays and kays 22mm adapter, and thinking of a nato and a perlon strap for a GWM 5610u. Thinking either crowns and buckles or CNS, but I hear crowns and buckles is better so I might shell out for the extra cost.

What nato strap do you use? Any recommendations?

So I was out with my friend today and we had nothing planned. So I would like to ask y'all to suggest activities and just little adventures you guys would do.

List of things we did:

  • Searched online of things to do in our county and found some cool activities. Ended up going to a vietnamese lantern festival thing

  • Geocaches

  • Wandered around in a park because of geocaching

  • Tasting of water from the water fountain at the park

I emailed Geocaching support asking if they could give me a free trial to see if it was worth it. They responded like right away giving me a code for a free week trial but it was attached to a year subscription ($40). I subscribed anyways because I guess it's not too bad and I might be able to cancel it if I don't want it.

So far, I will keep it since it unlocked a few geocaches around Cal Poly Pomona and at parks near my area. So for me, it's worth it, especially when it encourages me to to outside and touch some grass.

Interviewing for a part time internship for Entry Level IT. I am a full time student Comp Sci major and wanna go into networking, servers, security, so hopefully this gets me my foot in the door. I am a terrible soft skills person and really nervous. My friends told me to print out my resume and transcripts, I will surely do that. Anybody got anything else to suggest?

Update: I got the position! I honestly didn't even prepare for it, didn't even know what the company did. The comment that talked about learning to search things up was right on, they asked me what I would do if I didn't know how to do something. I answered "looking things up, asking others, and consult documentation." The company seemed really cool and is structured pretty much like Valve Corp in that they wanted jacks of all trades and it was company owned.

Thank you for all the helpful advice. It definitely helped me out, and hopefully, it helps others out as well.

Best Cheap Dotted Notebook Recommendation (lemm.ee)
 

So far I've come across a really cheap $2, 80 sheet notebook on Walmart. However, I wouldn't want to support them. I might have to buy it though, if nothing else is within this range.

I have tried a set of high quality notebooks like $15 for 2 notebooks on Amazon but I found them too be too high quality for my liking. The paper is too smooth, cover too nice, generally not beat upable without me not feeling bad about it.
