@dave @remcoboerma @petrescatraian @ch0ccyra1n IME, the language is full of footguns. It’s possible to write good code in PHP, and I don’t doubt that many people do, but it’s difficult for beginners to figure out the right way to do things. It doesn’t help that many tutorials teach outdated, insecure ways of doing things.

@Tiuku @shreddy_scientist It looks like earlier this year there were a bunch of commits that worked on making the build system aware of RISC-V https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc/-/commits/master?search=risc-v

@imgprojts @OptimusPrime It's somewhat open source - the client "snapd" software that runs on your system is open-source, but the Snap Store server software isn't AFAIK
