I used there italics to point out my joke, that this comment was irony. I was quite sure that writting such comment on this platform won't be taken seriously. So I'm sorry for confusing you. Everyone should use the best tool for the job, but ofcourse I'm guided by light of FLOSS in my decisions.

Well... I think recently that people no matter the context attach vaginas and balls to things. Because of how mine language works words usually have endings in female or male form. Thing is... I think context is important. It is like with scissors (this word works the same in my language). The word is ending in plural form, but when you ask someone for scissors you won't get a whole pack. Word nurse in my language isn't specifcally ending in female form, but when you ask for one it doesn't mean you want a woman come to you, unless you explicitly say that you prefer nurse to be a woman for some reason. It is that there is no form which addresses both so you will use form that is most likely, and if a man comes to you there is no shame in that.
I guess maybe world has changed and I stayed the same in that way, or I am thinking in my language while reading english... I'm really not into these gender/sexuality related things so maybe this is also the reason. Maybe in some groups language had already evolved a bit?

Btw. you should try to learn another language! It is really cool when you can communicate with more people, and it is a nice exercise for brain :)
I'm not talking about google at all. Life is not black and white. Systems heavily impact human bevaviour, but google is a company full of different people. There can be a milion of reasons how they ended up with lower pay, and it ended up in court.
They can't be ideologicaly saint or moraly clean if they work there, assuming that google is evil (well I try to stay as far from their products as I can).
They got suddenly woke after realising that they wanted higher pay. It's not statistics, there should be some record on every person and reason why they got such and such salary. If they have higher qualifications, work there or in industry longer, work more/better, and have smaller pay then they should get rise and there is a lot of dumb people at google because they should realise that and do review of everyones pay and correct them. Instead this ended up in court. So this didn't happen and a lot of people is really hard headed there or unusually google is a victim here. We will see who wins, and if we agree.
I would like to see floss thrive, but not because of woke people destroying companies from inside for no reason, or for wrong reasons.
I'm dubious about morality when huge amounts od money are on the stake. Because there is a difference between fighting for some one/group of people to change and become better, and wanting to get rich quick on someones back and slap human rights sticker on it.
Also I can be totally wrong with every idea above. And I can see your point of view.

I think you missed what this s/he tried to point out. No one is arguing that equal pay is not important, and that it is fine if it's not. This comment is talking about that they may be using current political mood to win themselves public praise and a lot of money, while maybe just being less competent than colleagues that they pointed at. This comment isn't talking about google.
Let's just hope judge will get to the truth :)

Hm... I don't agree with making c/ about one sided news, but I feel that ton of comments and votes casted here are biased. I don't see anything terrible here... I'm not sure what liberal world news are... but I'm sure a lot of people here feel attacked by this opposite opinion, or world view that OP maybe represents.
Whole above thread doesn't look like a perfect debate about if such community is right, more like "We are more right than you".
I think that such c/ could be bad overall, so I'm more or less against it. As my main argument I will just say that world news are world news, and all news/photos links should be there so we all can get a view on an event from as many points of view as possible. I hope OP sees it as I do, or has arguments for this community. I can't see them. I was trying to look at it like sport related c/, for example like a fanpage for a sports team. But sport is a hobby, what happens in the world and our correct understanding of it is on whole anothet level.
