No, I don't think Lemmy supports following users.

I don't want to sound like I'm on Discord's side (I dislike nitro too), but that's honestly just how a lot of paid add-on features on free apps work. They take away some functionality from the free one to incentivize people to pay.

I can tell when there are electronics turned on around me even if they aren't intended to make noise, because they all seem to give off this kind of almost imperceptible high pitch whine.

I can also hear the noise that some batteries make when they get charged.

Hmm I see. Interesting.

It's actually rice topped with an omelette, and the with some sauce thing made thick with potato starch. It's called tenshinhan, which is a Japanese reimagination of the food they have in Tianjin, China. As far as I know this dish is just named after that city in China, but it's not actually from there.

Impressive, you figured out it was a university coop cafe. Maybe I should have edited out the text to avoid doxxing myself haha.

True, the coops are one of the cheapest options. I also eat quite often at one of the beef set meal chains (one of sukiya, yoshinoya, or matsuya). Solid choice too.

Sometimes I wonder how some people look at a topic and know that there is a relevant xkcd and exactly which one.

Is there a reason you're not planning on migrating both mail and calendar to Tuta?

Oh wow I also somehow read it backwards! I even took me reading the comment two more times after reading yours to realize it

Am I weird for mistaking this for "bookmarks from the year 1679" and thinking that was the point of the meme?

Remove text on TPE phone case? (lemmy.frozeninferno.xyz)
submitted 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago) by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

Hi. When I got a new phone a couple weeks ago, it came with this really nice, name-brand (not giving names here) phone case. It's really rugged and feels great on the hands. It's also one of the most premium phone-case options out there.

Unfortunately, the case is plastered with the text: Pixel. The only phone engineered by Google. I really don't enjoy being a walking advertisement for Google, but leaving such a great case lying around is quite a pity.

So I wanted to ask if there's a way to remove the text that would not damage the case itself?

The case is made of TPE plastic according to its packaging. I thought about just scratching it off cause it does seem to be some kind of layer on top of the case, but I'm worried it won't be removed cleanly and might even leave behind scratches.

Is there another way? Is there some kind of solvent able to do this job?

Here's a closeup if that helps.

Thanks!

Edit: I have decided to uncensor the words.
