Yep, that’s kinda my point. You can say “buy from an authorized reseller” but then there’s crap like Amazon ready to muddy the water.

eBay sells “certified refurbushed” segate drives. Certified by whom? Best Buy is an authorized reseller that sells open box items. And who knows how many resellers are just repackaging returns and putting them back on the retail shelf?

The only real authorized reseller these days is buying directly from the manufacturer.

Why would they do that? What do they have to gain?

I’ll believe it when I see it. And if it happens I’d imagine there will be huge pushback from Apple employees.

Is Amazon considered a “certified partner”?

For running advertisements, which is against their charter. I know it’s just more harassment for PBS and NPR, but I’m actually ok with it this one time. Advertising creep has been slowly settling in at both networks. It used to just be a quick “This program is brought to you by” but now it’s full on ads from the major sponsor at the beginning and end of each program, usually pushing a particular product.

Next thing you know you’ll be telling me Biden had no control over the price of gas! 😉

That price tag is missing its Trump “I did this!” sticker.

Check murderbot 1 & 2 for language. Consider adding The Giver, 1984, Fahrenheit 451. They are classics for a reason.

I vote no on Orson Scott Card.

I wonder how many TSA agents voted for Trump?

Is the Mandelbrot set actually three dimensional?

I read the article. I didn’t see anything “tricky”. Just a lot of weak excuses.

Maybe a huge lawsuit where the instigators have to pay a settlement out of pocket?

That’s T-Life!

The claymation video was probably the best part of the first episode. The Rankin Bass nod was fantastic.

For those of you that aren’t old enough to catch it…

“Hilariously, the video (which is narrated by Lumon's literal office building) doubles as a claymation recap of season 1—right down to a not-on-my-Severance-bingo-card reference to the Heat Miser in The Year Without a Santa Claus.”

I think this show is making the same mistake as “Stranger Things” by just stretching the same characters and story across five seasons. The first season was perfect. I’d rather see a new storyline in season two with new characters and a time jump. The season one characters have had their story already told.

Also casting directors please stop casting the same people over and over. Here comes Alia Shawkat fresh off her 20 episode stint on “The Old Man”. Next thing you know, Pedro Pascal is going to pop up on Severance too. One of the nice things about Severance is all the actors I hadn’t seen before or seen in a long time (Bob Balaban!).

Between AI, voice cloning, and modern CGI I’m surprised we haven’t gotten a real computer-generated talk show host.

Your drinking water is being ruined so cryptobros and AI can run on nuclear power.

I keep hearing I should get a flu shot to help prevent bird flu — but I thought flu shots only prevented illness from the particular strains the shot was designed for. Does getting a traditional flu shot do anything to prevent bird flu transmission?

[SPOILERS]

So far I’m kind of disappointed that they are showing what’s going on in the first Silo. Makes it feel like we are going in circles.

I wish they had edited it so we see Juliet’s adventure until she finally leaves to return to the original silo. Then do an episode of catch up as to what has been happening there. Then her arrival.

Honestly I was far more interested in what’s happening outside the Silo and the mystery, and not rehashing the characters from the first season other than Juliet.

If you’ve read the books — are they following the story pretty closely?

What a waste of money.

Is there a setting somewhere in Plex or on the server so that some songs don’t play loud and others so soft? Thanks in advance.

This is just greenwashing the original plan to add another natural gas power plant. What a scam. “Oh it could eventually run on hydrogen too. In five years. Maybe?”

This project is such a waste of money.
