first@last.com would be ideal, I use first@firstlast.com, but that wont be good for sharing. I would stick to a common TLD at least (.com, .net, .org, or a country) for deliverability.

I'm actually thinking of buying a gun, which is crazy because I've been opposed to them my whole life.

Check out Lunanode. Cheapest option is 3.50 a month and bonus points for being Canadian. I just recently set my VPS up there and am really pleased with them. Afaik they support your needs including custom ISO.

If its a mission critical use, I would stick to a more common TLD (com, org, net, etc). Country TLDs should be okay too.

Just use open source software?

I'm actually pretty pleased so far. I had to contact support to sort out a payment problem but they were incredibly quick to help me out. I think the price performance is pretty decent, but my needs are very minimal. The web ui is really straightforward as well, really no complaints.

I'm currently switching all my computing/cloud stuff over to Canadian and/or EU providers. I'm going to move my domains to Easy DNS and try out a VPS from LunaNode.

Also worth noting that they themselves are an American company for anyone that is concerned about that.

Does anyone have a good recommendation for an S3 provider? I'm looking at Hetzner and OVH.

Long time customer and super happy with Fastmail. Its a bit pricy but the service is great.

I'm looking to start testing out and developing for mobile Linux and am curious what the current best options are for used devices that support it.

I have done a bit of digging and the most popular choice seems to be the Oneplus 6, but it looks like supply has somewhat dried up and prices are creeping up on the second hand market... not to mention that it is starting to get a bit old.

I noticed that msm8953 devices are starting to get mainline support so tried getting lk2nd running on my phone (Moto G7), but couldn't get it to boot.

Is the (mainline supporting) hardware landscape really this bleak?
