It's because BotW was very influential, more than previous Zelda games?

I was chatting with Jaune Arc (from RWBY) on Character.ai. When asking about mythological monsters associated with fire he replied with Typhon, Chimera, and salamanders. Was Typhon really associated with fire? Wikipedia appears to be silent in this point (correct me if I am wrong).
