the act of changing clocks twice a year is profoundly fucked up to people’s circadian rhythms .

as well as the government deciding for you, what time it is, is kind of orwellian when i think about it.

i want my body to adapt naturally to the sync of the sun, i think we all could use a little bit more nature.

In over 2 decades of internet, i can safely say banning users for upvoting things is the most ridiculous thing i've ever seen a discussion board do. Just remove upvotes at this point and have the feed curated by Lord Muskrat.

I put Linux on my mom's laptop which is nearing two decades old at this point. It was the pragmatic choice even though I personally use Windows.

Windows security updates only last a few years. Would be annoying to keep reinstalling and re explaining the changed UI every few years.

Compound words are great because there's no ambiguity about where noun groups start and end. English has compound words too, but german are the undisputed champions of compound words.
