Deion is probably the best player ever to try to actually be a football coach. Then you’ve got Mike Ditka/Mike Singletary. That’s really it at least in the modern era.
Guys who are at that level are probably just over it. Why coach for 2 mill a year when you can be analyst for 1 mill a year and not have to deal with a bunch of shit? Think about how many former greats are littering pregame shows there’s easier gigs for past HOF than being a coach.
Or the time Kittle fumbled in the playoff game against us and it got returned for a TD. Yet it got wiped away cause Jimmy G throw a pass to the flat directly into the dirt. Just smart Thinkin by him

Ima go with maybe an out the box take here. BB knows how to talk with people. Whether it’s young black dudes or older white guys everyone in the middle does not matter he can connect with people. Maybe it’s something he’s learned or it’s innate. However he can be a dick of a coach cause as a person he can be funny,relatable and decent.
His protégés completely fail at this. They try to be Belichick the coach whose a dick all the time and this why their players tend to hate them. They can’t connect with their guys
