I think all (mainstream or not) media outlets have different biases, no matter how they portray themselves. Sure, they have great articles every now and then, or have less bias on some topics.
For example DW has some interesting articles on the environment and is blind to islamophobia in Germany. (Yes, I know they have some articles on the topic. Still). Or RFI tends to be problematic in relation to France's past colonies.
I think it's best to have different sources and draw conclusions also by reading between the lines.
Good to know!
I don't know what you are referring to. Could you share a relevant link?
I thought of adding a couple of links that clarify El Niño and La Niña
Lancet's total mortality estimates from July 2024, are so much higher.
Counting the dead in Gaza: difficult but essential
By June 19, 2024, 37 396 people had been killed in the Gaza Strip
it is not implausible to estimate that up to 186 000 or even more deaths could be attributable to the current conflict in Gaza.
The report that came out yesterday is specifically related to
Traumatic injury mortality in the Gaza Strip - from Oct 2023 to June 2024.
It doesn't talk about the deaths that do not come from direct violence (like famine, thirst, cold, burried in the rubble, disease etc.)
The total death count from the Lancet report of June 2023, was estimated to be much higher.
By June 19, 2024, 37 396 people had been killed in the Gaza Strip
Applying a conservative estimate of four indirect deaths per one direct death9 to the 37 396 deaths reported, it is not implausible to estimate that up to 186 000 or even more deaths could be attributable to the current conflict in Gaza
every statistic I can find suggests mainland China's housing prices have been decreasing
After your input, I looked it up a bit more and found stats like the ones you mention (example) but also found others that paint a more complex picture (example 2 - you will need to adjust the timeframe). So not too sure what to make of them at the mo.
The whole reason developers abandoned projects was the projected cost went lower than what they'd spend finishing it.
My understanding is different: it was a ponzy scheme (see article).
Having said the above, I am open to take a closer look at any link you would like to share that clarify or contradict any of the above.
According to the Wall Street Journal:
Israel Says Dead Hostage Found Beside the Bodies of His Captors in Gaza
The remains of the hostage, Yosef AlZayadni, 53, were found alongside the bodies of his captors, Israeli military spokesman Nadav Shoshani said.
It makes one wonder: were they killed by an Israeli attack?
For non-functional parts, there is also the option of making jewelry, lamp shades or art in general. This can be a great way to improve soldering skills as well!
