If I'm not mistaken this bug was present in the kernel for years and to be honest was extremely subtle in the first place

At the end of the day it will depend on the amount of money that you are willing to spend on this (and 0 is a perfectly valid choice) but what I would suggest is that regardless of provider, you buy and use your own domain so that

  • you own your identity
  • can change providers in the future without sending a notice to all your contacts about the change

I saw something similar the other day on the sentry repo https://github.com/getsentry/sentry/blob/master/LICENSE . IMHO using a copyleft free and open source licence before the "pivot" (?) is a lot better than what sentry went with. How much that helps the situation with corporations leeching off open source work is left to see
