Everyone I've known who has done has always been an incredibly low information voter. It isn't that hard to make a choice. Expecting to have a federal party that matches 100 percent of your beliefs is not realistic and presenting it as an option is just used to suppress votes.

What is Firefox VCS? Is that mercurial? Then it is about time. I know the OSS people whinge about GitHub but you can self host your own git if you want.

It is important for open source projects to go where the contributors are and for better or worse that's GitHub right now now.

I do realize which community this is in as well, that isn't lost on me. Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. The move GitHub is not the best but the move to git opens the door to a ton of other tooling and advantages over mercurial.

Year of the desktop has been a meme so long the people spouting it have failed to realize that the desktop itself is in decline.

There are many many people for which a mobile phone or tablet is their only computer. If you want to count Android as a Linux distro then year of the Linux desktop has come and gone ten years ago.

I don't think Doug is a viable federal candidate and the only reason he remains in power in Ontario is because the Ontario liberals are in disarray and decided running Doug -lite was a good idea in 2025. Never the less it would be nice to see a classical fuck you I got mine conservative at the head of the party again.

It makes perfect sense though. The party has spent a lot of time being the "not Trudeau" Party. A lot of voters vote on vibes and don't read the platforms or anything else.

If they don't have a platform or positions then they can be whatever a potential voter projects on them. It works. Ask a conservative voter why they are voting conservative and the majority won't talk about the conservatives they will talk about the liberals or NDP.

I mean they were built to make money, the fact that you can send them a national security letter is just a happy accident that keeps the NSA from having to run more datacenters.

Remember Oprah and a million little pieces. I'm pretty sure that guy was a complete unknown before he made that shit up.

"they" don't though. The low level employee/intern who read it might but that entire industry is up its own ass smelling it's own farts at the top.

I mean they don't make it very hard to play their first party Games. Just pay the online free. The main issue is that not all of those games from 1997 are their games. They are just made for their system.

They are that's true, but it's because their parents bought it for them when they were young.
