I dug my time with it, but I thought of it as more of a roguelike telltale game — heard it really shined if you played it through multiple times to see all the scenes, started doing that, but just couldn’t after running into my first repeat sequence

Arcade paradise on my steam deck…. Having fun, doing all the little things and playing the cabinets— I have a feeling I’ll tap out before doing everything but I’ll probably unlock all the games first

Oxenfree’s another highlight and they just released a sequel it seems like no one knows about

I just remembered Netflix includes a bunch of worthwhile mobile games if you’re into that

Actually, if you have Netflix, there’s a decent number of good mobile games through that

Warframe’s my example of free to play done well, can’t wait to jump back in when it goes cross save

i think its a low barrier to entry which means the app stores are flooded with crap. i'd probably suggest avoiding mobile exclusive games by default

i'm debating finally trying la noire -- would have been up my alley like 25 years ago, but never got around to it...

Hey hey-- uymai here! Canadian with two boys under 10 over here (!). Anyone who has a baby and spends any time with me whatsoever, i'll eventually mention that the happiest baby on the block saved my butt, twice!

always way too many to list without some guidance on what you're looking for(!)

worth mentioning guacamelee 1 and 2 (notable indie metroidvania games ) are currently free on the epic store: https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/guacamelee-stce-7cdbc8 https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/guacamelee-2-ac4977
