You have 180 days to claim it. Smart people will talk to a lawyer and get their ducks in order before claiming it. Typically, only people that would blow through it claim it in the first few days.

That is because you are paying for the premium of signing up through ios; apple takes a cut so to make money they raise the rates. It's extremely common signing up to any service through ios, that you will be charged higher than if you went to the website on your browser and sign up for it there. I voted to abolish it. It even was worded to say something like forced servitude and wouldn't cost the state anything. Idk what the hell is wrong with the rest of CA but I did my part.
