This is why you never connect smart tvs to the internet.

  1. buy smart tv subsidized by roku
  2. connect it to your computer
  3. torrent all content

So will this be the beginning of the end of gitea?

Great. That's a different article from the OP which is what I quoted.

Oh sorry, I misunderstood. The thing I originally quoted is the BBC suggesting that the missiles that killed several people in Poland a while back were Russian when they were in fact launched by Ukraine. What BBC is claiming is false and they're being real cavalier assholes by repeating the claim that Russian missiles killed people in a NATO country.

That's my read.

Interesting comparing the situation described in this article to china apparently solving addiction of youths to online gaming this year in a matter of months.

The incident comes a month after a missile strike during an attack by Russia on Ukraine killed two people in Poland close to the Ukrainian border.

That is some classic BBC right there 😂

  • bring visibility to bourgeois parasites doing environmental damage
  • make bourgeois parasites feel uncomfortable
  • highlight the hollowness of Elon's free speech gesturing by getting banned from Twitter

These are all great goals if you ask me.

Thanks for asking this. I was reflecting recently that Ive started feeling feeling self conscious masking. I still mask when shopping and traveling, but also I go to restaurants a fair bit and see friends, and don't mask for those things.

Is there evidence yet musk is the source of the Twitter files and not a former employee?

Dropping by to say this podcast is regularly very good. I recommend folks listen to the two episodes on "long termism" if you don't already hate techlords.

My employer uses ubuntu for operations, and so I have experience using it in that settings. My thoughts:

  • It's basically fine, it's well-supported by third party PPAs (i.e., apt repos) so it's generally possible to install arbitrary versions of popular open source daemons (e.g., postgres, redis), it's been on systemd for a while, which despite some people's criticisms, I find to Just Work, so I like it.
  • snap is annoying and I wish canonical would stop trying to make it a thing
  • apt's default is to automatically enable and start daemon systemd units on installation, which IMO is highly questionable

For desktop, I like Arch too much to use Ubuntu or any other fixed-release distro.
