I agree, nut as a father of a 14 (and 17) year old son, I can't imagine my sons (or their friends) doing something like this. So in my world view, maybe, not a lot of boys are really radicalized?
I don't know, but in my opinion the only reason why this is "news", is because DRC has a lot of natural resources, especially battery minerals.

I don't know the specifics of the Slovakia election system, but in Europe it is quite common to not have a majority leader as president or prime minister. Most of the times there isn't evn a majority party. For example, I'm Dutch and we have a prime minister nobody voted for, because he wasn't even on the ballot. The coalition which formed after the election just asked this guy to be the leader of the country.

I think I worded it a bit wrong. It is news, but our (western) media tends to not report on African (or anything considered third world)) countries. Unless there is sometthing in it for the west. Like, are there natural resources available, which is the case here. So it is news, but tends to be ignored by our media.
