Today we updated our backend and we have encountered an error that is affecting planet liberation rates, causing them to skyrocket. While we know this is fun, we also know that it is breaking the Galactic War mechanic itself.

In short, this is harming the game experience and will have detrimental effects on the war mechanic in the future.

We have made the decision to pause the Galactic War temporarily until this is fixed. We’re already starting the process, but we do not yet have an ETA for this fix. You will still be able to play Helldivers 2, but you cannot make any contributions to liberating planets or advancing the War.

This is our mistake and we own it. We are not going to revert any of the damage done by this error, however, so your major order victory is still secure.

We will keep you updated as soon as we have more information!

We were on Haz 7 on Fori Prime last night, and we easily killed well in excess of 300-600 bugs per diver, multiple bile titans, half a dozen+ chargers, etc.

They just never stopped spawning. We leveled half the city with strategems, arc throwers and flamethrowers and they just kept coming as if the spawners were broken. Are these levels OP for anyone else?

I've played for 160 hours and have never seen anything like this before.

The only game to win more awards last night than Helldivers 2 was Astro Bot with five, so it was an excellent night for Helldivers.

Also as of posting, it appears to be slowly slowing down, currently the accumulation rate is 1.00% per hour and the natural decay at this moment is 1.10% per hour, so there is a net decay of 0.10% per hour, but that doesn’t mean we can let any worlds fall into the hands of the Illuminate cult.

I'll see if I can upload the entire clip (saved the whole match lol), but I found an equipable entrenching tool while fighting illuminates. Took my support weapon slot sadly enough but losing my stalwart and all the combat effectiveness it brings was worth the ability to dig holes in the ground.

Seriously you could dig holes with it. I nearly buried myself.
