Some things seems to work as expected when posting and viewing in Lemmy but not in PieFed. So I will test a few things by making the post on Lemmy and seeing how it displays in PieFed.

1. Bold in two different places in the same sentence

This seems to go wrong in PieFed no matter if done in Lemmy or PieFed.

• Bold in place 1 and place 2 done by manually typing two asterisks before and after those words.
• Bold in place 1 and place 2 done by using the Lemmy Bold GUI button.

2. Italics in two different places in the same sentence

The last time I tried this in PieFed, it seemed to work fine, but I'll test it anyway.

• Italics in place 1 and place 2 done by manually typing one asterisk before and after those words.
• Italics in place 1 and place 2 done by manually typing one underscore before and after those words.
• Italics in place 1 and place 2 done by using the Lemmy Italics GUI button.

3. Bold and italics immediately followed by punctuation

I think I remember seeing this go wrong in PieFed but only with posts originally made in Lemmy, where it looked fine.

• Bold in place 1, and italics in place 2. Done by manually typing double asterisks for bold and single asterisks for italics.
• Bold in place 1, and italics in place 2. Done by manually typing double asterisks for bold and single underscore for italics.
• Bold in place 1, and italics in place 2. Done by Lemmy Bold GUI button for bold and Lemmy Italics GUI button for italics.
