[Pokémon] The origin of the grass type

This is from a few years ago, but I just stumbled upon it. It was a very fascinating read on the development of Pokémon and their different types. The changes that happen during a game’s development are really interesting.

You can now receive special Pokémon as Mystery Gifts for completing game Pokédexes in the mobile device version of Pokémon HOME!

The second wave of rewards are for completing the Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, and Pokémon Shining Pearl Pokédexes!

If you complete your Hisui Pokédex, you’ll receive a Shiny Enamorus. If you complete your Sinnoh Pokédex, you’ll receive a Shiny Manaphy.

• Mystery Gifts is a feature only available on the mobile device (iOS/Android) version of Pokémon HOME.
• In order to receive Mystery Gifts, you must have a linked Nintendo Account.
• Each Mystery Gift can only be received once per Nintendo Account.
• Certain features may be unavailable depending on your device or OS version.

Conditions for receiving Shiny Enamorus
• Complete your Hisui Pokédex, then confirm your completion in the Games tab of Pokémon HOME.

Conditions for receiving Shiny Manaphy
• Complete your Sinnoh Pokédex, then confirm your completion in the Games tab of Pokémon HOME.

If you have already completed these Pokédexes, you are still eligible to receive this Mystery Gift.

Battle Teams must be registered during sign-up. No entries will be accepted once the competition period has begun.

To register for the competition, follow these steps:

  1. Launch your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game.
  2. Open the X menu.
  3. Select Poké Portal.
  4. Select Battle Stadium.
  5. Select Online Competitions.
  6. Under Official Competitions, select Search for a competition.

Age Divisions

Junior Division: Born in or after 2013
Senior Division: Born between 2009 and 2012
Masters Division: Born in or before 2008

Participation Prize

You must finish three or more matches with a win or a loss during the competition period to be eligible for rewards.

• Ability Patch ×1

Competition Details

This competition follows Regulation Set G and will be comprised of Double Battles using Pokémon that appear in the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet games, including those that appear in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. Only one special restricted Pokémon may be registered to your Battle Team. Certain Pokémon may not be used.

From Friday, January 24, 2025, at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 23:59 UTC, Scream Tail will be appearing in 5-star Tera Raid Battles in the Pokémon Scarlet game, and Iron Bundle will be appearing in 5-star Tera Raid Battles in the Pokémon Violet game.

These Paradox Pokémon will have various Tera Types, so prepare wisely before challenging them—and try joining Tera Raid Battles hosted by Trainers playing the other version of the game to help complete your Paradox Pokémon collection!
