Well, there goes a good part of my Sunday I guess. 😅

I was working on levelling and cropping the pages from Sega Pro 34 - July 1994 (UK), when I noticed the cover has a part of it torn off due to some cover gift which must have been taped on it 3 decades ago, and ripped off carelessly.

So, me being me, I got a bit obsessed with it and with the help of the PAL SNES manual as a reference, I went to work reconstructing the artwork as well as the letters that got damaged.

Pretty sure if I didn't tell anyone, no one would be the wiser, and in that case, I'm writing this one up as a success. 😄

One of my favourite videos I’ve seen in a long time.
Not just for the content, but the idea behind it.
These are the kinds of games we can get lost in or can escape to when real life gets to be too much.

Games that stay with you for the rest of your life and that you know you can go back to and enjoy them over and over again.

You’d be able to fill a full channels with videos on this.
Instead were getting the usual “the 10 worst games/things from 2024” videos shoved underneath our noses for weeks on end. 🥱

On #SaturnDay here’s “Manx TT Superbike”. This is a 1997 motorcycle racing game developed by Psygnosis, Perfect Entertainment & Tantalus Interactive & published under the #Sega Sports brand. It’s a port of the 1995 arcade racer, itself based on the infamous Isle of Man TT race.

I 100% agree with the score on this one.
For some reason this entry in the series seems to get a lot of hate and honestly, I don't know why as I adore how it goes back to the SNES way of doing things.
Perhaps that was what people didn't like about it...
Played this one so, so much and I was floored to see all the SNES tracks being unlocked after you complete the regular cups.
Definitely one of my favourites.

Just started listening episode 441 of the retro hour podcast, which is about the The Untold History of Japanese Game Developers book series and interviews John Szczepaniak.
