Ignorant fear breaks and shatters a lot of things around itself. Among the first things to go are character and ethics. And with that, any mental gymnastics are allowed so as to NOT go anywhere near Truth.

No, it's primarily hatred. They great what they hate. The decency in conservatives I've known is skin-deep. Spend enough time with them, they'll show you who they really are...
