Are you talking about me? What's hypocritical about respecting vegans? Are you asking me to disrespect them instead?
Now you’re putting words in my mouth. I'm saying you should go vegan not just praise the ethical philosophy.
I respect vegans like I respect the LGBTQ community. I don't need to be gay to do that do I?
That is not same. As being vegan is a choice like how we don’t beat dogs.
So you first start throwing insults when called out then resort to using a strawman and now you’re just promising to be a jerk showing that you have no principles in the first place when exposed to cognitive dissonance. You just want to waste lives, land and water for your selfish 15 seconds of pleasure.
Of course you fight so hard to remain an animal abuser instead of using that energy to solve real problems.

I followed through this thread and as a Vegan , I apologize for the nonsense you just dealt with. We aren't all rude like this. Vegans should be embracing those that understand it is a worthy cause--even if those people aren't going to switch--because it shows society is growing aware of issues, and a better future in next generations
I was, and still am very ignorant about this topic. I actually am interested in cutting out meats and dairy. I don't actually find the health issue of eating meat to be healthy a convincing argument.
It seems the general consensus is Westerners over consume meat. And the Mediterranean style eating is healthier. And there are entire cultures that are various forms of vegan/vegetarian. But we also have to look at Mediterranean lifestyle too, besides lower meat intake, they may walk alot, and consume smaller portions. It all works together to maintain a healthy body.
Ignorance doesn't make you a bad person. I don't think you are a bad person. But I think your ignorance allows you to hurt, torture, and murder individuals, even when you are trying to be "nice". If you would like to be less ignorant and gain the capacity not to hurt individuals, I recommend that you watch Dominion.
