Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered

getting really tired of these linear models and scales. people are ending up so worried about which is /more/ invasive or /worse/ for privacy and it just makes a lot of noise that doesn't really help anyone and doesn't give a good picture of whats happening.
the modern business model of these corporations is just to funnel data to threat actors. that's all they do, from any major social media platform, to any provided service, they're just malware now funneling data to threat actors. there's no way to guarantee where that information goes or what its used for.
its not really worth pointing out which is the biggest funnel for data to threat actors, its just understanding that they are funnels for data going to threat actors
