Hello from Reddit, the signup was easy enough for me at least
I signed up a few days before reddit made the announcement lol to just check lemmy out since I've been hearing about it for a while. I had no idea reddit would do this then. I just figured out how to connect to different instances and this is my first comment in a different instance from the one I signed up :D
From someone that just joined today, what is an instance?
It's like servers just like the other used said. Each of them has their own guidelines and stuff from what I can tell. Nobody can make a sudden decision for all of the instances like reddit made about restricting their api I think but we can still interact with most instances.

I agree, it wasn't bad. Most tech folks won't struggle. There are some rough edges that could be improved though.
