Information still coming in, but afaik and can tell, yes, all grants.
Effectively the University system in the US is liable to collapse as a result of this, because this also includes student loans.
This was my first thought. It's new semester time and a lot of federal aid needs to get to students' hands like yesterday.
no it doesn’t. this is terrible and loans/grants are currently under scrutiny, so this could be the case soon, but don’t spread misinformation.
pell grants and stafford loans are still paying out

Where are the student loan banks now with their emergency injunction suits?
This is for realsies DEFCON 1 bonkers. I work in research, its extremely expensive and mostly funded by grants, this is apocalyptic if not sorted out quickly.
I work for a Native American tribal government and they're freaking out as well. Almost all Tribal funding is through Federal grants. Unless they have a casino or other source of income.
I'm associated with a non profit research institute who is in partner in a tribal grant looking at the climate impacts of bringing buffalo back to native lands. This is pretty much ends that program.
Another program I'm associated with is facing down losing basically %100 of the funding for that project and that's a $50 mil program.
