You can still see the effects of German settlement in the grid system of streets in lots of midwest cities. Kenosha, WI, is a fantastic example.
Fredricksburg and New Braunfels TX too
Is that the result of German settlement or just the result of when they were built? Europe has loads of grid plan areas in cities, not just in Germany
