The Outer Worlds feels like a corridor shooter compared to Avowed, what are you on about
Avowed gets a suspicious amount of hate.
Kinda crazy. I went in expecting another The Outer Worlds, a game I was initially very disappointed in but ended up enjoying after I accepted what it was. What I got was well beyond my best expectations.
What did people expect this to be?
I think some expected FPS Baldur's Gate. I subconsciously did and had to temper my expectations after finding the fish guy wasn't down to fuck at the first campfire.

You joke, but
not really a spoiler but just in case
there's a companion that is immediately extremely flirty. Pretty sure that's the extent of it though, she's just a funny old lady.Doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with it, Steam negative reviews are about performance or expectations
Meh game from one of the most beloved RPG crafter in the world garners a proportional response to the lack of quality of their latest release. Fanboy insinuates conspiracy theories.

I’ve literally only played one of their games to completion. I couldn’t really care less either way but the negative response hardly feels proportional.
TIL Outer worlds where you can interact with the environment and kill quest givers with repercussions is actually a corridor shooter compared to avowed where every environment is as interactive as the walls on a corridor, just with more bears...
It's a good thing you can kill quest givers in that game, else they might send you to one of the two enclosed loops where combat takes place.
Yes, skibidi magician simulator with bears is much better. Fuck thinking, what I want is to shoot the thing, reading is for nerds.

If you're going to be pretentious about role-playing, you should at least pick a game that's good at it.
TIL relative analysis = absolute analysis.
