Avowed gets a suspicious amount of hate.
Kinda crazy. I went in expecting another The Outer Worlds, a game I was initially very disappointed in but ended up enjoying after I accepted what it was. What I got was well beyond my best expectations.
What did people expect this to be?
I think some expected FPS Baldur's Gate. I subconsciously did and had to temper my expectations after finding the fish guy wasn't down to fuck at the first campfire.

Meh game from one of the most beloved RPG crafter in the world garners a proportional response to the lack of quality of their latest release. Fanboy insinuates conspiracy theories.

I’ve literally only played one of their games to completion. I couldn’t really care less either way but the negative response hardly feels proportional.
