Reading through a bit of your profile you seem rather judgemental of others'. Even passing judgement on what someone else needs therapy for? Like, seriously? Your insistance on the use of the "r-word"?
There are at least some people who enjoy what I post otherwise I wouldn't be upvote-positive for most posts and comments. You've been here long enough to know what happens to content that isn't at least a little welcome.
You post a wide range of other peoples content and links from other places. You hand make a few crappy memes that get free upvotes because they are all one note "Republicans bad, gib upvotes now plzzzz" garbage.
Who gives a shit about upvotes dude. Getting lots of fake Internet points isn't gonna get you any closer to being loved by your parents.
I don't like you because you're basically a human repost bot that is just filling up Lemmy with mostly garbage. Out of every 10 posts you make maybe one thing is actually interesting or new.
I will repeat. Quality>quantity.
c'mon, just block the community and move on if you're unhappy about the content. other people having a bit of fun (pointing out the hypocrisy and deeply flawed irrational nature of a reactionary political philosophy) isn't worth getting upset about. given current circumstances in America, it's refreshing to see people criticizing authority and those who seek to empower the powerful at the expense of the many.
That's how link aggregate sites like Reddit and Lemmy work, and is the entire point. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
But I will tell you exactly what I tell everyone who makes the complaints you're making: Feel free to make your own content, that's all original and not just linked to from another site. Be the change you want to see.

Um, dude, I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what Lemmy and Reddit are. They are a category of social media called "Link Aggregators", posting links to stuff is what you're supposed to do. News, articles, projects, blog posts, GitHub repos, random one off websites, YT/PT videos etc doesn't matter who made it. What matters is you think it's cool or at least think others will find it cool and you post it. That's it.

Again, that's just been the last week or so and specific to [email protected] because that's what it's trending towards as a comm.
1, it's not currency, but it's not entirely useless. It's good for some metrics to judge how well something you post is being received. Not the best metric, but...it's the one we got lmao. And 2, there it is again the "judgy aggression"
Some of my highest upvoted posts had nothing to do with politics at all and were handmade

I personally like the content posted by cm0002 and I'd like for him or her to go on with his or her work as he or she has been doing so far.
