Good for Costco. Maybe next they can focus on improving customer experience. I let my membership expire because I got tired of feeling like a confused cow who the butcher suspects is an impostor and not actually part of the herd.
What about Costco did you find confusing?
Probably the Marxist policies of having samples on multiple aisles in conjunction with requiring that you must but two of the muffin trays for the offer price. Trying to figure all that out while also picking out items from a shopping list when there are several bulk choices for each is too much for any reasonable person to be expected to handle. Thanks, Obama.
P.S. If they have a fuel center as well... Biden did that.
/s? WTF is this lunatic word salad?
Isn't it delicious? Have another bite!
Maybe it’s just my local store, but stuff I regularly buy gets moved often so I’m always wasting time looking for it, the cash wrap at the front is a logistical mess, the payment and pickup procedures at the snack bar are convoluted, and if I want to pee before I shop, I have to present my card to the gestapo and then navigate through all of that mess. It’s uniquely user-unfriendly among retail establishments.
Doesn't sound like any Costco I've been in beyond moving items, which all grocerers do from time to time.
They only make money off memberships, so they take it very seriously.
They only make money off of memberships? What an incredibly silly thing to say. This feels like a fact that has gone through the telephone game and become a myth. I wouldn't be surprised if they made the majority from memberships, but to say they only make money from them is just ridiculous.
True on the margins they make some small profit from the Tire Centers and leases for the Optometrists and Pharmacists, but it's a well known fact that their business model is primarily centered around memberships. And just so you don't think I'm blowing smoke up your ass for internet clout, I worked there as a sample guy for a few years during college and learned this from the managers and employees id befriended. It may not be completely true these days, but from what I can see that's still largely the case.
Well, it’s well known that memberships is their business model.
