It it good guys? I have my reservations about NetFlix addaptations, the english dub sounds a bit meh

I mean, I like my giant robot fights to have some decent story and characters too, y'know? The grey, gritty, grounded portrayal of war is what makes me a gundam fan over other mecha series.

But yeah, in this case, the gorgeous mecha animation at the very least balances out the basic writing.

You are 100% right. I've even said before on here that a GOOD Godzilla movie lives and dies by the human plot. I'm not saying the story doesn't matter, but in the grand scheme of things if the plot is lacking, the monster/mech scenes are really what matters here. Good writing and plots only elevate it that much more.
