Or quicksand for that matter, I was really expecting that to be a much bigger problem. Especially after reading all those Tintin comics.
I went up to my knee in quicksand last week.
Looked solid, nope.
(In the shaded part, under a bridge, on a supposed dry river bed.)
Exciting and a little scary.
