You have guns and a 2nd amendment. Strap up! This is the exact reason millions upon millions of Americans viciously defend Line item number 2 in your constitution: To fight tyranny.
If you don’t, all those years of defending it will be all for naught.
Millions upon millions of Americans have not defended the 2nd on anti-tyranny grounds. Most of them just have a hobby and think their AR-15 will someday defend their innocent white wife from bands of dangerous minorities. The 2nd Amendment people who actually believe in violent revolution (or the threat thereof) as the backstop of democracy are a tiny minority. We'd need something like "well-regulated militias" for that.
Looks like you're Canadian. You might want to clean your own house right now before giving advice. You have right wingers already getting way too many votes.
Also, this:
The Peaceful LA Protests of June, 2025 worked. We're all talking about it now. If the LA protests weren't peaceful, we would have different talking points for this weekend's protests and protesters would have been killed. This administration wants this.
YSK - That there is a lot of trolling and brigading starting to happen around the LA peaceful protests to start violence. Here is a roadmap from 2015 on how they do it.: https://sh.itjust.works/post/39873361

You’re not wrong on both points. I understand we have some issues here in Canada, but luckily we’ve mostly kicked the maple maga agenda to the curb, and even the previous conservative leader not only lost out on what would have been the easiest win in decades for a government party, he also lost his seat in the house and his riding.
Protests do work, but my entire life I kept hearing from everyone about the 2nd amendment and why Americans need to have guns for this type of shit.
They pointed to Canada and more recently Australia as to why taking away their guns is bad, yet here America is now: more guns than people, but afraid to use the 2nd amendment as it’s designed to be used.
Now that it’s here, the American pro 2nd amendment crowd is largely crickets.
Trump needs to go, but more and more people are going to stop attending protests with fear of police and ice agents nabbing and deporting them, so more and more your protests simply won’t work.
Protests while rare didn’t work in Nazi Germany either and they’ll slowly stop working in the U.S..
Put fear into people, and those people will be afraid to participate.
I hope I’m wrong.
The people saying these things are the right wing. There are liberal gun owners, but they usually see the nuance of the situations. Please don't treat us like a monolith. We have states that are like developing countries and education systems that are almost non-existent. And then we have other states that have the best schools in the world.
