I believe the main reason is that Tixati supports spoofing the peer-id to allow it to appear as any other client to a tracker. This would allow you to use it to bypass tracker client whitelists.
A reason why you might not want to use it on a private tracker though is that it includes wasted pieces in the download it reports to trackers. This means that Tixati will report more download than other clients would, hurting your ratio.
